The Performing Arts department promotes a ‘Proud to Perform' ethos. We are striving for all students of all abilities to participate in a full, balanced and varied Performing Arts programme giving them the confidence to attain examination success above the National Average supported by a professional and dedicated team of specialists.
Performing Arts is a part of life at The Appleton School. All students at Key Stage 3 study music, dance and drama. At Key Stage 4 we offer the popular BTEC First Diploma and Certificate in Performing Arts as well as traditional GCSE's in music, drama and dance.
We have recently renewed our Artsmark Silver status for our continuing commitment to the Arts in music, dance and drama. We are proud of our excellent out of hours learning initiatives. We offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities such as; keyboard club, jazz band, school orchestra, guitar ensemble, beginners group, choir, recorder group and drama club.
