Wednesday: To allow for review period school ends at 15.40pm. However, you will not need to remain until this time every week.
Review Period: Wednesday's review period will give you the opportunity of meeting and talking with your subject teachers and form tutor about your progress at Appleton. Your progress, experiences and achievements will be recorded during these interviews and new targets will be set for you.
Help and Advice
If you have a problem, the best person to talk to is your form tutor. He or she will always be available first thing in the morning. Do not be put off talking to someone about anything that is bothering you because you will find the things that seem important can easily be sorted out by talking to the right person. If your parents need to see someone at the school, or are worried, or just want to find out how you are getting on, ask them to telephone Mrs Easton (Year Co-ordinator) or your form tutor. We are both there to help you.
Homework Planner
When you arrive in September, you will be given your own special book called the Homework planner. This contains lots of information designed to help you with your personal organisation. There is space to collect merit marks, record your timetable, attendance and other information.
You will also be expected to write your homework in your planner. Every student is required to do homework and hand it in on time. This will not be a problem but you need to be organised. Your homework planner will help you achieve this.
