English

The English area has its own suite of rooms with our own computer room and drama studio.

We teach in mixed ability groups for year 7 and set by ability in years 7,8,9,10,11.

We follow the literacy strategy framework for teaching at key three. Our lessons are exciting, challenging and rigorous. Our students are included in their own learning; they all know what their target national curriculum levels are, and what they need to do to progress to the next level.

We hope to develop our students, so that they can become confident writers and develop a critical facility for literature. We are currently working on an on-line magazine, so that we can provide as many audiences as we can to celebrate our students achievements.
