Studying Languages

This is the modern foreign language department's webpage. All students are offered French and German as well as Spanish in Key Stage 4 and we have recently completed a pilot of "fast tracking" students in Key Stage 3 to take GCSE at the end of year 9.  This scheme is currently continuing with years 8 and 9.

Students are offered the opportunity to take part in educational visits to Paris, France and Cologne/Bonn in Germany during Key Stage 3.

All classrooms in the modern languages department are equipped with interactive whiteboards which are connected to the internet.  This gives students a regular opportunity to interact with foreign websites and have access to real French, German and Spanish material.
