We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Subject Lead for Music to join our successful Performing Arts department. This role is ideal for a dedicated music educator with a passion for inspiring students and teachers alike. As the Subject Lead for Music, you will have the chance to shape the future of music education at The Appleton School, developing a vibrant curriculum that excites and engages students from all backgrounds.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and enhance the Music curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring it is innovative, inclusive, and capable of achieving outstanding student outcomes.
  • Inspire and manage the Music teaching team, fostering a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Drive excellence in teaching and learning, incorporating a variety of musical genres, traditions, and technologies.
  • Enhance the school's extracurricular program through concerts, ensembles, choirs, and other musical events, increasing engagement with the wider community.
