Congratulations!
The Appleton School congratulates the summer 2025 Sixth Formers on their record-breaking A-Level and BTEC examinations. Students achieved our best set of results, in the history of our Sixth Form.
We congratulate all of our students on their results and are absolutely delighted about all of our students’ success. These results are record-breaking and the highest in the history of the school and are testament to the incredible efforts of the hardworking students and teaching staff at The Appleton School. We are hugely proud of all our students. We join the students and their families in celebrating their fantastic achievements, which represent the culmination of many years spent studying. We thank the students and the whole school community for their unfailing support and determination and wish all of our students every success in the future.
Students in our 2025 Year 13 cohort achieved an excellent set of results:
- 32% achieved A*-A or equivalent
- 68% achieved A*-B or equivalent
- 98.7% of students achieved A*-E in A Level qualifications
- The A-Level Value Added score was +0.32 and above the national average
- The average grade at A Level was B-
- The Applied General Value Added score was +0.51 and above the national average
- The average grade in Vocational Programmes was “Distinction”
- 61 students in our Sixth Form applied to University and were all successful in gaining University places.
- 25% of students gained a place at a prestigious Russell Group University.
- 77% of Year 13 students went to university, 23% found employment, gained an apprenticeship or continued with further training.
